The heavy snow across the UK has already caused havoc to many football fixtures across the lower leagues and non-league, with both teams heavily affected in recent weeks.

And in an effort to confirm whether this weekend's game will go ahead, Blyth will hold an initial inspection on Friday evening.

Telford face a round trip of over eight hours by road to Blyth, with public transport also likely to take longer than six hours one-way.

To avoid fans making their journey only to find the game postponed, the early inspection will be held the night before the fixture.

Updates will be provided by both clubs tomorrow evening to confirm whether the game will go ahead.

Fans were buoyed by the news that the outlook for the game was better, after snow cleared overnight in the North East.
