The Bucks lost 3-2 at Chorley on Saturday and their record in National League North is now five wins and seven defeats.

They would have been disappointed with the manner of the goals they conceded and they also gave away a penalty, which Jas Singh saved.

But they are looking strong going forward and had Marcus Dinanga grab a brace, and Edwards said: "We just made a couple of vital errors at the wrong times.

"Across any level, there will be mistakes – players make mistakes, we make mistakes, I make mistakes.

"Everyone does, and and we have been punished when we have made them.

"A lot of teams that will be at the top end of the table will not make mistakes in the wrong areas.

"We just need to learn quickly, we need to learn.

"We know we are not far away. Pretty much in every game, we have been competitive.

"We have had good periods but just let ourselves down at times.

"Obviously that has to stop, we know that."

Telford have a goal difference of minus six. They have conceded 23 goals in 12 games.

"We will continue to work and continue to do what we are doing because we believe in it," Edwards said.

"We have had good wins against big teams so we have to be positive.

"We have to learn from what we have done well, and learn from the mistakes – rectify them and nullify them."

Edwards is seeking to continue fine-tuning his squad.

When asked if there could be any incomings or outgoings this week, he said: "We'll know a bit more during the week, we can confirm a couple of bits on that.

"The squad, we are still trying to get our team together.

"We are delighted with the lads we have got but like anyone, we are looking to fine-tune."

Finally, the Bucks chief took the time to praise Dinanga.

The 20-year-old on loan from Burton Albion is Telford's top scorer having netted six times this term.

Edwards added: "We are pleased with him. You have always got a chance when you have goalscorers in the team.

"And he is certainly one of them."
