Boss Rob Edwards insists he feels incredibly deflated after AFC Telford United's 4-1 home loss to Bradford Park Avenue, adding: "It's not acceptable."

The Bucks were handed their third straight defeat at the New Bucks Head by Avenue.

Former Telford skipper Luca Havern, Adam Boyes, Adam Nowakowski got the goals for the visitors, with the help of some shoddy defending from the hosts.

Marcus Dinanga's strike for the Bucks proved no more than a consolation, and Edwards said: "I am incredibly deflated, frustrated, angry - all the words you would expect.

"We simply wasn't good enough, in the first half in particular.

"I thought the basics weren't there. We didn't play in their half, but they did to us - they turned us.

"The information, before all games, is to play forward and especially in the first 10 minutes. But we didn't, we invited them on to us.

"Too many balls came in the box that we didn't deal with, we looked vulnerable and we looked weak.

"That can't happen again. It's not acceptable."

Telford's young players were given a hard lesson by an experienced, streetwise Avenue side.

On what he said to his players in the dressing room afterwards, Edwards added: "It is difficult - you can go about it in a number of ways.

"They know it's not good enough. I've tried to be measured in there.

"I'd rather give them some constructive feedback, they know I'm not happy.

"They're not happy themselves so we need a reaction."
