England's World Cup-winning Under-20s are playing at AFC Telford United's New Bucks Head ground this month.

A friendly against the Netherlands will take place on Thursday, August 31 (kick-off 7pm).

It is the first match for the Under-20s since they lifted the World Cup in South Korea in June, beating Venezuela in the final.

Although the players on duty in that tournament will be too old for this season's programme, they will be replaced by another group who report fresh from Euro success with the Under-19s – under former West Bromwich Albion coach Keith Downing.

Telford chairman Andy Pryce said: “It’s great that The Football Association have chosen the New Bucks Head as the venue for this U20s fixture.

“We will no doubt put on a great showcase event and look forward to continuing our excellent working relationship with those at The FA.”
