It caps an excellent 2018 for the Moreton Hall sixth form student, who made her debut for the Bears women’s first XI and was one of 39 young players from across the country chosen to take part in the School Games.

Home is also a keen lacrosse player and represented England U19s during their victorious European Championships campaign, during which she was named the best under-20 attacker on the continent.

The busy schedule has been fitted around her studies for A-Levels in maths, economics and geography.

Home, who was the Bears U17s skipper, said: “Cricket is one of the toughest sports mentally as it requires discipline, concentration and determination.”
