The Morda Road men have won all seven of their completed games this term after securing a 35-run success at Penkridge despite being below their best.

That win kept them 19 points clear at the top from Fordbouses, but they will be looking for an improved showing in another tricky trip to fifth-placed Pershore.

Oswestry were indebted to another century from opener Warrick Fynn, and a seven-wicket haul from paceman Sadaf Hussain.

“Had it not been for those two, it was a game we would have lost comfortably,” admitted captain Robbie Clarke.

“We weren’t at our best as a team, and we don’t want to be relying on a couple of players, Hopefully it will give us a bit of a shake-up.

“But you can’t be too critical as it has been a fantastic start with us picking up maximum points possible.

“Warrick is in unbelievable form, and Sadaf’s a match winner who can blow away the lower order.”
