The Morda Road men made it six Division Two wins from six this season with Fynn stroking his way to his third century of the season.

The change of format from 50-over win/lose to 55-over win/lose/draw didn’t disrupt Oswestry as they picked up a 31-run victory against Old Elizabethans.

Fynn (105) provided the backbone of Oswestry’s 250-5 as he took his run tally for the season to 579 with his lowest score to date being 74.

He gained support from No.3 Robbie Clarke who struck 62 while Alex Ramsay chipped in with 37.

Sadaf Hussein and Mark Robinson then joined forces to complete another impressive day at the office for Oswestry.

Opening bowler Hussein bagged 5-71 from 14 overs while Robinson picked up 4-52 as Old Elizabethans fell for 219.

The victory leaves Oswestry 30 points clear of second-placed Wombourne.

Newport are still leading the way in Division Three after chalking up their fifth win of the season.

Stunning displays from Shabbir Khan and Maisam Hasnain saw Newport to a seven-wicket win against Stratford-upon-Avon.

Khan returned figures of 6-60 to help the hosts dismiss their visitors for 187.

Newport then lost three early wickets but Hasnain and Mark Downes joined forces to see them to victory with Hasnain ending unbeaten on 108 and Downes 59 not out.

Third-placed Sentinel were six-wicket winners at Handsworth.

Dominic Bradburne claimed 5-42 as Handsworth were bowled out for 170.

Mal Serplet then top-scored with 53 while Craig Heath and Ed Ashlin were and 47 as Sentinel eased home.
