Bayley women match the men
It’s not just the Sir John Bayley boys who’ve had a champion time in the afternoons this year.
The women of the Wellington club have matched their efforts by winning division one of the Telford Ladies Afternoon League.
They enjoyed 15 magic Mondays out of 20 games to finish seven points clear of Sinclair and will receive the main prize at the league’s presentation lunch next month.
Donnington Wood will receive the division two winners trophy at the function on Wednesday, November 14, at Sinclair (12 for 12.30pm) and tickets cost just £2 for bowlers, book with Mabel Finnigan on 01952-684578.
It's been another good year for the Bayley with the veterans winning their league yet again plus the Shropshire Senior Citizens Cup while the Premier League side added the County Cup.
