The Premier League club had an option to recall Castledine this month, but it is understood they want him to remain with Shrewsbury to complete his loan.
Town are pleased with the contributions the youngster has made so far this season, with the attacking midfielder virtually being an ever-present since joining in the summer.
The 19-year-old has made 25 appearances for Salop since his arrival on loan from Enzo Maresca's team at the end of the transfer window.
In that time, Castledine has scored two goals. He netted on his league debut in Town's 3-0 win against Leyton Orient when he was played in by Tommi O'Reilly.
