Offering luxury accommodation and the highest standards of quality residential nursing, palliative and specialist care for up to 71 residents including those with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses.

Whilst our care home is located in the peaceful residential area of St. George’s, the proximity of the town of Telford means that residents have easy access to the bustling high street and being on the local bus route presents yet more opportunities to explore.

Split across two specialised floors, the individual units ensure that our residents receive the exact level of care and dedication they need. Nursing care is of the highest standard and is administered 24 hours per day by experienced professionals who understand the individual approach required for potentially challenging conditions.

Accommodation is luxurious but practical with time and thought applied to make individual bedrooms and communal areas attractive and stimulating. Residents are encouraged to bring their furniture and treasured belongings as the perfect balance of luxury, homeliness and familiarity is what we strive to achieve.

The ‘home-from-home’ feeling continues in our specially designed Dementia unit, with its communal lounge, open plan kitchen and dining area with breakfast bars and the reminiscence room which opens into a landscaped garden of fragrant herbs and flowers.

The atmosphere is made even more welcoming as we encourage family and friends to join in with activities – an invitation which extends to mealtimes too, with residents choosing how, where and with whom to eat.

Well-established community links mean that we are often visited by local children who treat us to singing and entertaining performances and services are provided by local churches for those residents who wish to attend.

At St. George’s Park we aim to cater to every resident’s particular needs, even when it comes to leisure. Regardless of whether you like to make the most of your sumptuous surroundings or get out and about, we help you do exactly as you please. Our setting is a tranquil space, made even more pleasurable by our pretty, well-kept private gardens. In full sunshine or shady spots by the pagoda, residents can simply relax or have cool drinks or afternoon tea – weather allowing!

Our staff are always at hand to assist those who wish to explore the wider area, including the nearby bustling town of Telford. Being conveniently located on the local bus route means that even more of the locality is easily accessible.

For the less adventurous, we provide a stimulating calendar of in-home activities, encouraging the pursuit of existing pastimes and hobbies whilst introducing new ideas and events to be enjoyed by all. A regularly-updated monthly calendar, notice boards and posters ensure that everyone knows exactly what’s on. Variety is always guaranteed and pamper days, movie nights, tea and cake tasting, board games and armchair skittles are just a few examples of the wide itinerary of regular delights.

Of course, with our strong focus on personal choice, there is always the option to blend activities depending on how the mood takes you. Everything is done at your own pace, with assistance from our care team as, and when, needed.

Flexibility is the aim when it comes to the dining experience at St. George’s Park. The range of medical conditions we care for could make mealtimes challenging but we try to allow for the wishes, physical capability and nutritional needs of everyone.

The only policy we have is that our residents should be able to eat how, where and when they like, and we strive to create the right environment to make eating an entirely pleasurable experience. If residents choose to sit alone, join friends and family or even eat whilst walking around, then we will cater to it, still always ensuring that they receive the nutrition for overall well-being.

We are incredibly proud of the quality of food at St. George’s. Having been shortlisted as a finalist in the Care Home Awards category of ‘Best for Nutrition, Food and the Dining Experience’, we are proud to say that our focus has not gone unnoticed. Working closely with our food partners, we offer a consistently varied, nutritional menu choice, with meals tailored to the taste, dietary, cultural and medical needs of the individual. Even where smaller portions are necessary, we fortify to ensure no goodness is lost – a very important detail.

Our experienced team of nurses and carers always welcome family and visitors so if you seek a luxurious, caring, high-quality home to provide nursing, palliative or dementia care, simply get in touch today.
