Wait until December!

Since the end of Halloween and Remembrance Day we have been bombarded with anything and everything to do with Christmas.

Christmas is coming next month

I know people want to get it the mood for the holiday season but it is extremely annoying when you want to go to a simple shop like the Co-Op, as soon as Halloween is over Christmas food, chocolates and small gifts are already on the shelves. Some shops I’ve been in didn’t even wait until the end of October before putting their Christmas goods in stock.

People may call me a Grinch but I do not hate Christmas, in fact I love it! But when you walk into shops and immediately get bombarded with Christmas deals, decorations and that horrendous music it can get rather irritating.

Many shoppers probably want to get their shopping in early before they run out or the prices get higher but can’t they just do that online? It’s honestly much quicker and takes less time in my opinion.

You’ve also got to think of the poor workers. Just imagine how they feel , just trying to get on with their lives and make a living; but forced to listen to constant Christmas jingles and wear stupid hats or headbands. Maybe some of these people enjoy the prospect of this but not if they have to do it every day until Christmas is over.

Imagine being forced to wear an onesie every day for a year from the start of January until December. It would be horrible! Or forced to listen to your most hated song or music for the same amount of time. You would hate it.

So just spare a thought for those who don’t need to know about Christmas until December.
