Let’s come together over the EU

I refer to Edward Davis’s letter of November 10.

Theresa May

Edward, there are or never have been any emotional visions on behalf of the people who voted to leave.

Stop listening to the media, gutter press and the likes of the BBC who are all remainers. Not a good word to say about Brexit only criticism.

Theresa May has stated today that there will be no turning back. Britain is leaving the EU on March 29th 2019 at 11pm.

You are only turning your ears onto the negative people who want to remain in the EU. The opportunity to trade with the world trade organisations is enormous. Look at our trade with China, Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada, Japan, to name but a few. The EU is just a small part of trading nations. It is the EU that prevents us trading with who we want to. If there is no deal Theresa May should walk away. The EU thinks they can hold Britain to ransom over money and trade.

Tell me what the likes of Volkswagen, Mercedes, Rolls Royce, BMW, and Peugeot would be saying if the EU stuck large import duties on cars coming into this country.

Britain would simply reply by doing the same to them, so it is in no one’s interest to do this. The EU benefits from 98 billion pounds of trade from Britain. David Davis who is negotiating our exit is not going to put Britain's deals on the table unless he can see the whole of the picture.

The EU wants Britain to put all our cards on the table before they show us theirs. That’s not how negotiations work.

We should pay our way to the EU until March 2019 which would be about £20 billion pounds, but anything above that forget it. So please now that the date is officially set for leaving and no turning back, let’s for heaven’s sake all work together to make it work.
