It was Jeremy Corbyn’s first-ever Glastonbury Festival and he was greeted by crowds of revellers chanting his name.

The Labour leader arrived at the musical extravaganza and met festival staff as well as organiser Michael Eavis, 81.

He was driven to the Greenpeace area of the site, where he posed for pictures in the Greenpeace Cafe and was met by cheering crowds

He introduced US hip hop duo Run The Jewels at the Pyramid Stage at 4pm before giving a talk at the Left Field tent.

Judging by his Twitter posts, it appeared Corbyn had a great time at Glasto.

Here he is moments after arriving at the 900-acre site in Pilton, Somerset:

Speaking at the Pyramid Stage:

Corbyn pledged his support to refugees, young people and the environment, and took a swipe at US president Donald Trump during his speech.

He vowed to cheering crowds that his politics would be “put back in a box”.

“People were fed up, absolutely fed up of being told what to think,” he said.
