The nerve agent latest, the gender pay gap and two teenagers dying on the streets of London lead many of the papers on Wednesday.

The Times leads with the frosty relationship between Britain and Russia in light of the Salisbury nerve agent attack – adding there are fears about the strength of the “international coalition” against Moscow after it could not be confirmed the substance came from Russia.

Gender is top of the agenda at the Daily Telegraph, with Prime Minister Theresa May saying figures about the pay gap make “uncomfortable reading”, adding the issue is a “burning injustice”.

The Guardian is one of many papers to feature the picture of Tanesha Melbourne – a 17-year-old shot dead in Tottenham – while the paper also covers the revelation from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory that it could not verify the precise source of the nerve agent used in Salisbury.

The Financial Times runs with stories on the flotation of music-streaming service Spotify, alongside moves to ease regulators’ concerns about 21st Century Fox acquiring Sky.

The Daily Mail claims the  “militant Jewish” group which Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn met dismissed the anti-Semitism crisis in the party as a “malicious ploy”.

The Daily Express claims that gangs are “out of control” after two killings in the capital.

And the Daily Star reports the resurrection of Coronation Street Pat Phelan was “ridiculed” by fans of the soap.
