Two teenage girls who are believed to have disappeared together have been found, police said.

Charmaine Charlesworth and Mercy Russell, both 15, who are from Cullompton in Devon, were found “safe and well” in the early hours of Saturday.

Devon and Cornwall Police had appealed for sightings of the teenagers after they were reported missing on last week.

“Missing teenager Charmaine Charlesworth and Mercy Russell from the Cullompton area have been found safe and well in the early hours of this morning,” a force spokesman said.

“The police wish to express their thanks to the public for their support in locating them.”
