It is arguably one of the largest events in a Cambridge student’s social calendar.

Dressed to the nines and still smiling after a night of partying, Cambridge students have celebrated the end of term at one of the university’s May Balls.
The date is as famous for the morning after as the event itself as students, still immaculately dressed after dancing the night away, make their way home.
Some could be seen relaxing on a punt on the River Cam while others enjoyed the morning in college gardens.
The ball dates back to 1866, and has become a tradition to mark the end of the academic year.
