Shropshire and Mid Wales were battered by blizzards in March 2013 bringing roads to a standstill, knocking off power, and forcing schools to close.

Over the weekend of March 22 and 23 there was upwards of eight inches of snow - despite it being spring time.

The snow we are expecting this weekend is of course more seasonal, but could it cause as much disruption?

The Met Office is predicting that on Friday we could be expecting anything between 15 centimetres of snow.

Will this spell be one to go down in the memory?
