Pictures From The Past - November 3Welcome to this week's collection of nostalgia photos from the pages of the Shropshire Star.By Toby NealPublished Nov 3, 2017 CommentsA fetching black and white thatched cottage in a rural location, in need of some modernisation... Or, put another way, knocking down, because that is exactly what happened to this cottage at Peplow. This photo, which looks like it might date from around 1905 or thereabouts, is one of a couple of photos of similar cottages which are in a family album owned by Sir Beville Stanier, whose namesake grandfather lived at Peplow Hall. The album caption says simply: "Cottages, Peplow, pulled down."
