Rafael Nadal signs Shrewsbury fan's prosthetic leg after Wimbledon victory

It's pretty regular to see fans getting their tennis balls being signed by players after a match at Wimbledon - but Rafael Nadal was given a bit of a surprise when he was handed a prosthetic leg to sign.

The leg belonged to Shrewsbury wheelchair tennis player Kevin Drake, who took his opportunity after the Spanish tennis star beat American Donald Young in straight sets.

And not only did he get the signature of Nadal, but he also got British number one Andy Murray to sign his leg.

Speaking at a press conference Nadal said: "It was already off. I don't know if he took it off at that moment or not."

Asked if it was the strangest thing he had been asked to sign Nadal smiled and said: "Probably not."

Four years ago Sergeant Drake, 38, was badly injured when a vehicle he was in drove over an explosive device in Afghan.

He was left with numerous fractures and breaks in his legs, as well as short term memory loss and a shattered heel bones.

After countless operations and rehabilitation, he's now getting ready to compete in this year's Invictus Games in Toronto by training hard in Shrewsbury.

Sergeant Drake will be part of the 90-strong team of wounded, injured and sick (WIS) military personnel and veterans who have been selected to represent the UK at this year's games.

The Invictus Games Toronto 2017 will take place from September 23 to 30.
