Jet2 will fly to a number of skiing resorts next winter

The company says it is in response to huge demand from skiers and snowboarders and extra flights will go to Grenoble, Geneva, Salzburg and Innsbruck.

It comes just weeks after putting flights on sale to seven top ski destinations from Birmingham Airport.

Customers travelling from Birmingham Airport will be able to enjoy additional flights during the February half term to Grenoble, Geneva and Salzburg. On top of this, the company has also extended the ski seasons to Geneva and Innsbruck, meaning customers in the region can enjoy earlier flights in December to those two popular ski destinations..

Chambery is also a new ski destination for Jet2.com next winter

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We know how much skiers and snowboarders missed the slopes in winter 20/21, so it is no surprise that snow sports fans in the Midlands are responding well to the launch of our new programme for winter 21/22 and that there is huge demand for our ski flights."

Tom Screen, aviation director of Birmingham Airport said: “We know that summer holidays and trips away are at the forefront of the minds of many of our customers at the moment, having missed out on their usual breaks. While our beach customers are busy booking summer holidays, we know that a lot of the keen skiers and snowboards out there are planning their much-needed skiing trips as well. Jet2.com realise the demand for these trips and have added extra capacity to winter 21/22 to ensure that those that missed out get the chance to hit the slopes as soon as they can.”
