Car hits wall in South Shropshire village

Emergency services were called to a crash in South Shropshire after a car smashed into a wall.

The incident happened at about 8.30pm on Sunday on the A4117 in Hopton Wafers, west of Cleobury Mortimer.

West Mercia Police and Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service were in attendance.

The fire brigade sent two engines from Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow.

The driver was able to exit the vehicle, and firefighters worked to make the vehicle safe before the wreckage was cleared.
