Overnight closure as road lights repaired on A5 at Shrewsbury
One of the Shropshire's main arterial routes is closed overnight to traffic while urgent roadworks are carried out.
Work started yesterday on the southbound carriageway of the A5 on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, from Edgebold to Churncote. The road will be closed overnight until September 15.
During this time the B4386 will be closed towards Shrewsbury.
Highways England are working to replace lighting at the Woodcote Island.
The work will be carried out from 9pm and 6am, Monday to Friday until September 15.
Diversion routes are signed and in place.
