Drivers warned over A5 closures near Shrewsbury
Motorists are being warned of overnight closures on parts of the A5 in and around Shrewsbury.
Areas of the A5 near the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital will be closed overnight from August 28 to October 6.
Work is being carried out on behalf of Highways England to replace lighting at the Woodcote Island. It will be carried out overnight between 9pm and 6am, from Monday to Friday.
There will be full overnight closures of the southbound A5 between the Edgebold roundabout and Churncote roundabout from September 3 to September 15.
During this closure the B4386 will also be closed towards Shrewsbury.
It will affect the northbound of the A5, between the roundabouts, from September 17 to October 6.
During this closure the B4386 will also be closed towards Cruckton.
An emergency access route will be available at all times for emergency vehicles.
A signed diversion route will be put in place.
