Two ambulances sent to Telford rush-hour crash

A busy road was closed for more than an hour after a two-car crash in Telford.

Two ambulances, police and firefighters were sent to the scene on the A518 on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened between the Clock Tower Roundabout and the Red House Inn Roundabout just before 5pm.

The patients were not trapped in the cars and the firefighters made the vehicles safe.

Pictures taken at the scene showed major damage to the front end of a people carrier involved in the crash but nobody was seriously injured.

The road was back open at around 6.20pm.
