The road, north of Craven Arms, is to close each night from 8pm to 6am, until July 22.

The closures come after the main road was just reopened south of Craven Arms following complete closure for nine days to rebuild Onibury level crossing.

The current works are between the junction with the A489 at The Grove to the north of Craven Arms and the B4370 Marshbrook junction further up towards Church Stretton as pavement renewals are being carried out until July 17.

The carriageway will be closed in both directions with a diversion route clearly signposted.

As those works come to an end, there will be further carriageway closures between Church Stretton and Craven Arms during the same hours as contractors Kier carry out a drainage investigation of existing pipework, using cameras and jet cleaning on behalf of Highways England. These works will continue until July 22.
