Kier will be performing drainage and resurfacing work on the A483 from Llanymynech to Mile End Roundabout and at Upper Sweeney on behalf of Highways England.

The scheme will also include clearing of plants and renewing road markings and studs.

The work will run until October 2016, and will see the road closed overnight from 8pm to 6am throughout.

A diversion route will be in place between the A483 and A458 Buttington Cross Roundabout and the A5 and A483 Mile End Roundabout.

There will be four full weekend closures of the road towards the end of the works, but advance warnings of these closures will be made clear on roadside signage beforehand.

There will also be occasional daytime lane closures during the week using temporary traffic lights, but the road will remain open.

Construction team leader Chris Jones said: "I would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption you may experience during this work.

"Every effort will be made to manage noise levels and additional lighting carefully to ensure minimal impact on local residents and businesses."
