The lorry was forced to brake suddenly between Llynclys and Pant, near Oswestry, shortly after 7.30am, with the load of logs shifting forward, preventing the driver from going any further, according to PC David Wagg of Oswestry police.

Delays were caused as another lorry was sent to offload the logs.

Police carried out traffic management, and PC Wagg added: "Police attended to carry out traffic control and thank motorists for their patience."
