Andrew Martin, a franchisee owner of easyBus, is opening the route between Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Wrexham and Chester seven days a week as of Monday.

Mr Martin has previously launched a mini-bus service between Shrewsbury and Manchester Airport.

The new route will also have evening and night time departures, meaning the four destinations can be reached on Sundays and nights out with a bus home.

Mr Martin said: "easyBus are delighted to be offering this new service which is part of our ongoing commitment to the local community.

"Our service now means you can leave the car at home and enjoy a day or evening out, without having to drive or rely on expensive taxis. This is good for the environment, and your pocket."

The easyBus service to Manchester Airport launched in October last year, with fares from £2 each way on offer.

The route takes less than two hours, with 16 daily services on all seven days of the week, picking passengers up at several stops in the county and calling at Wrexham and Chester before arriving at the airport.

A total of 12 low-emission orange mini-buses are now on the roads and Mr Martin said he had been delighted with the response from passengers

Fares are available on board the bus, with bus passes accepted on the route.
