A new housing estate in a village near Shrewsbury could be built if plans get the approval of Shropshire Council.

Long Mynd Homes Ltd has applied for permission to build 28 houses on land north of Leigh Road in Minsterley.

The application is for outline permission and the form and layout of the development would be finalised at a later date.

The matter will be determined by members of the council's planning committee at a date in the new year.
