A housing development in Shrewsbury will see the creation of more than 50 new jobs.

Miller Homes are building a 159 home housing estate at Sovereign Park, Weeping Cross, to the south of Oteley Road and west of the A458.

The two, three and four-bedroom houses will be built on the land, which used to be used for farming.

The building firm is looking for people to fill the roles of a sales adviser, site manager, operatives, forklift drivers and apprentices.

Alastair Parsons, sales director for Miller Homes Midlands, said: “This development is great news for the wider community with the creation of over 50 jobs.

"We have an ongoing commitment to invest in local people and working alongside local businesses to assist with our latest Shropshire development is an excellent start.”
