Labour candidate wins Madeley by-election
The Labour candidate has won a by-election onto a town council.
Carrie Mackenzie is the latest member of Madeley Town Council after being elected to represent Woodside with 52.5 per cent of the vote.
In total, Labour got 381 votes, with the Conservatives picking up 284 and Liberal Democrats picking up 53.
The votes were cast on Thursday, with the winning councillor announced later the same day.
