Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn cancels Telford visit after Manchester attack

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has cancelled his visit to Telford today in the wake of the Manchester attack which killed 22 people.

Jeremy Corbyn will be in Ironbridge tomorrow

Mr Corbyn was going to be at the Museum of The Gorge Car park in Ironbridge today.

Mr Corbyn said he had spoken to Prime Minister Theresa May after the tragic attack on Monday night and they had agreed that all national campaigning would be suspended until further notice.

He said: “I am horrified by the horrendous events in Manchester last night. My thoughts are with families and friends of those who have died and been injured.

“Today the whole country will grieve for the people who have lost their lives."
