Burnt-out Mercedes Maybach wasn’t exactly the most conventional of vehicles at trade event in Las Vegas

The burnt-out Mercedes attracted a crowd at SEMA

Traditional show cars tend to be gleaming new examples of the very best that motoring has to offer.

However, alloy wheel creator Forgiato decided to take a slightly different approach at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, which highlights speciality products for the automotive industry.

It decided to bring what it calls ‘the most lit’ car of the event – a burnt-out Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

The car has had no modifications whatsoever, apart from the 22-inch ‘Orologio’ alloy wheels it sits on.

The idea behind the show car was to allow the wheels to stand out, so it’s little wonder the burnt-out wreck attracted so much attention at the trade event.

This Mercedes-Maybach looks practically undriveable and would have cost at least £170,000 to buy new. There’s little information as to how the car got into this state, although it’s likely that this outing is one of just a few before it heads to the scrapheap.
