Naked man seen ‘surfing’ on van on Kent motorway
Police appeal for witnesses and footage after stunt on M20 involving nude man on van
Police are investigating after a naked man was seen ‘surfing’ on a van on a motorway.
Motorists reported the bizarre scene of a nude man performing the stunt while on the roof of a van about 4.50pm on Friday.
The dark-coloured Vauxhall Vivaro was said to be travelling at roughly 50mph in the middle lane of the M20 between junctions four and five, near West Malling.
Kent Police’s road policing unit tweeted a GIF of a dog on a surfboard with the caption: “Well… we all enjoy keeping active however that activity being NAKED SURFING ON A VAN ON THE M20 is going to get our attention and it’s not to tell you how RAD or COOL you are but we will let you be judged by a panel”.
The police later released a statement saying they were investigating the incident on suspicion of dangerous driving and indecent exposure, as well as confirming that they had contacted the van owner and the man seen on the roof.
They also urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident or had any footage of it to call Kent Police on 101 or by email via 12807@kent.pnn.police.uk quoting reference YY/031561/18.
