Volkswagen showcases T-Cross practicality in new video
New crossover is expected to be fully revealed early next year
Volkswagen has given a glimpse of the practicality levels in its upcoming T-Cross through a new video.
The compact crossover, due to be fully released early next year, is destined to be the smallest car of its type in the Volkswagen range of cars.
The video sees two ice hockey players managing to store all of their equipment in the back of the T-Cross, with items such as sticks, bags and safety padding all fitting into the car’s surprisingly spacious boot.
The T-Cross is thought to be based on the same platform as Seat’s Arona, making it smaller than the likes of the larger Volkswagen Tiguan.
An initial sketch of the car was released last month, and was accompanied by a release stipulating a variety of equipment included in the car. For instance, all vehicles will receive front traffic monitoring and lane keep assistance systems as standard. The rear seats can also be adjusted lengthwise, giving owners the ability to tailor the amount of rear-seat legroom or storage space to their specific needs.
The artist’s sketch shows a car with a bright exterior colour and large alloy wheels, perhaps hinting towards a good level of personalisation available with the production model.
There are few other details surrounding the car as yet, though more information is likely to be available the closer it gets to the car’s official release date.
