A new special edition version of Honda’s CR-V is now on sale in the UK, with prices starting at £23,500.

Called the CR-V S Plus, the new trim level is based on the existing S Navi grade, and has been introduced to offer customers improved styling and features for less money.

Standard features with the new model include dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, a reversing camera, cruise control, satellite navigation and a city brake active safety system.

Customers can choose between two engines for the CR-V S Plus – a 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel. Both come with two-wheel drive and a manual transmission. Petrol models are priced at £23,500, while the diesel costs £24,500.

The special edition model also gains a number of aesthetic tweaks, including body-coloured front and rear aero bumpers, a tailgate spoiler, and new running boards, which Honda claims lend the S Plus a “sporty yet mature look”.

Dave Hodgetts, managing director of Honda UK, said: “This special edition CR-V is a fantastic addition to the world’s best-selling SUV line-up, and will make for a great ending to 2017 for Honda in the UK.

“The S Plus provides customers with approximately £1,500 of features for free, aligning with Honda’s objective of supplying products of the highest quality at a reasonable price for utmost customer satisfaction.”
