Porsche has unveiled a low-key version of its GT3 at the Frankfurt Motor Show called the Touring Package, which does away with the large fixed wing of the standard car, and is available with a manual six-speed gearbox.

Powered by a 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated engine producing 494bhp and 460Nm of torque, the GT3 Touring Package can hit 60mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 197mph.

Apart from the removal of the rear wing, the mechanicals of the Touring Package remain identical to those of the standard GT3. It features 20-inch forged alloy wheels, while the arches are 44 millimetres wider than the standard 911 Carrera.

The Touring Package features a GT3 Touring logo at the back to distinguish it from the rest of the 911 range, as well as silver-coloured window strips, sports exhaust system tailpipes and headlight washer covers.

Inside, the seats are finished in leather rather than alcantara, as is the shift lever, door panel armrests and interior door handles.

Mirroring the GT3, the Touring Package features rear-axle steering which – depending on the vehicle’s speed – steers in either the opposite or same direction as the front wheels to improve the car’s cornering ability.

Porsche has yet to reveal any UK-specific prices, though the GT3 with Touring Package will cost €152,416 (£138,167) in Germany.
