Now 'sea' here! Bentley Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition inspired by luxury yachts

Bentley’s bespoke division has collaborated with Princess Yachts

Bentley Motors’ bespoke division Mulliner has teamed up with Princess Yachts to create a marine-themed Continental GT Convertible.

The Galene Edition gets Glacier White paint with a Sequin Blue section running along the bottom of the body from just behind the front wheels to the rear, which Bentley says “captures the iridescent sparkle of crystal clear waters”.

Under the bonnet sits a 4.0-litre V8 engine making 500bhp, though cruising with the roof up you’d be hard-pressed to hear it thanks to a four-layered retractable hood.

The soft-top is painted dark blue to continue the aquatic theme, while the 21-inch alloy wheels are the company’s ‘propeller’ design.

Bentley says the luxurious interior was designed to pay homage to the hand-crafted components that are common in the world of luxury yachts. There are a variety of top-end materials used, including linen and Portland hide leather for the seats and Brunel Alcantara for the stowage case.

Buyers can also specify whether they would like a hand-painted illustration of a super-yacht inside the car by Spanish artist Jaume Vilardell.

Designed specifically for the Galene Edition, Bentley has created a new material called Pinstripe Walnut. The wood finish is used in the centre stack and console, illuminated treadplates and on the boot floor.

There will be just 30 examples of the Bentley Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition by Mulliner built worldwide.
