Driver arrested after stolen car is stopped by police late at night in Wellington

Police in Telford have stopped another stolen car and arrested the driver on suspicion of theft offences.

The person driving the BMW was brought to a stop by police from Shropshire's Operational Patrol Unit at about 9.45pm on Saturday, on Holyhead Road in Wellington.

The man found driving has been arrested on suspicion of theft-related offences and driving without a valid licence or insurance.

He was detained in the police cells at Malinsgate police station.
