Firefighters sent to Telford van fire

A small van has been involved in a fire in Telford.

A fire crew from Wellington was sent to Doseley Road, Telford, on Mondayat 1.22pm.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus brought the fire under control within half an hour.

The cause of the blaze has not been given.

Earlier a fire crew from Bishops Castle was called to a tree on fire in a garden in Montgomery Road in the town.

Firefighters, called out at 12.34pm, brought the blaze under control by 1.50pm having to use a ladder and also a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was out.
