Telford & Wrekin Council will be refurbishing the health suite at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre.

It will be replaced with a new, larger spa pool, sauna and steam room.

There will also be modernised wall tiles, new flooring, ceilings, lighting and furniture.

The swimming pool, changing village and other facilities at the centre will be unaffected.

Sauna and steam room facilities will be available at Oakengates Leisure Centre to all Aspirations members.

The refurbishment will complete the Aspirations development at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre, featuring the new expanded fitness suite, class studio and cycling studio.

Telford & Wrekin Council's leisure chief , Councillor John Minor said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused, the refurbishment is the last stage of development at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre, providing an excellent health & fitness offer to all members.

"The new facilities will give members access to a variety of high standard fitness and relaxation opportunities at Wellington, including the swimming pool and café.”

The new and improved facilities will open in January next year.
