Police appealed for help on behalf of the coroner's officer

Alain Ettiern Simmonds, 48, died on June 2 after being provided with hostel accommodation in Shifnal.

He had arrived in Shropshire from the south east of the UK in May.

Now the coroner's office is looking for any information that might help find Mr Simmonds' family.

Despite an extensive search, no next of kin has been traced and West Mercia Police has now appealed for help on behalf of Shropshire Coroner's Office.

Enquiries have revealed a previous address for Mr Simmonds in Seaford, East Sussex, between 2003 and 2010.

Anyone who may be related to Mr Simmonds or knows anything about him is asked to contact the coroner's office on 01743 258540.
