Telford swimming pool forced to shut due to 'insufficient water level'
Swimming lessons and a public session had to be cancelled at a town's leisure centre after a mechanical fault.
The pool at Oakengates Leisure Centre was closed on Wednesday evening after an "insufficient level of water" led to a loss of circulation.
Lessons were cancelled as well as a public swim between 6pm and 7.30, and engineers worked through the evening to repair the fault.
The pool re-opened on Thursday morning and normal service resumed.
Stuart Davidson of Telford & Wrekin Council's leisure services team said: "“The loss of circulation was caused by an insufficient level of water in the system due to a technical fault, meaning we had to wait for the balance tank to refill before we could turn the pumps back on and re-open the pool.”
