Nobody hurt as firefighters and police sent to A41 crash

Emergency services were called to a two-car crash on the A41 near Newport.

Police officers and firefighters were sent to the crash scene near Chetwynd Park at around 2.30pm on Thursday.

Nobody was injured and the cars were made safe by firefighters from Newport station.

Traffic between Newport and Tern Hill was held up while the incident was dealt with.

It comes two days after a serious crash around seven miles up the road at Sutton Heath left a woman and her baby daughter dead. The incident is being treated as murder by West Mercia Police.
