Fire crew rescues 18-month-old boy locked in car in Newport

Firefighters were called to rescue an 18-month-old boy who got accidentally locked in a car in Newport.

The youngster was stuck in the vehicle in Chetwynd Grove this afternoon at around 1pm.

A fire appliance from Newport station was sent and the crew used small gear.

He was left safe and well in the care of his parents.
