About 300 jobs will be created as part of the work by Persimmon Homes West Midlands, whose new estate will be build off Audley Avenue.

Oak Tree Gardens will provide 102 homes in its first phase. The properties will be a mix of three, four and five-bedroom homes.

It is hoped the development will be launched in May. A five-bedroom Corfe showhome is due to open in June, with the first home owners completing late summer.

The development will help support around 300 local jobs, including direct staff, contractors and the wider supplier network.

Amanda Rogers, head of sales at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “This development is certainly attracting some interest, as it will appeal to a wide cross-section of buyers.

“Once launched, customers will be able to buy off-plan which means they can secure their preferred property and location within the development. In addition, reserving at this stage means customers can truly personalise their home by choosing from a range of ‘finishing touches’.

“It also means that buyers have the maximum amount of time to prepare themselves, taking some of the stress out of moving home.”

The overall scheme will see 215 properties built, including affordable homes, and provide public open spaces and allotments.
