As Chancellor of Harper Adams University, Princess Anne is a long-time regular visitor.

This week she combines a symposium on the subject of technology’s role in feeding the Commonwealth with a ceremony at St Nicholas Church in Newport to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Thomas Harper Adams.

Among topics from other speakers, guests will hear lectures on building sustainable food production systems in African Countries and the Canadian experience and UK opportunities for beef production efficiency.

The princess is both interested in and knowledgeable about the contributions made by Harper Adams for the wellbeing of people and communities both at home and overseas and during her visit will meet university staff and students.
