Watch: Caravans and 4X4 destroyed in blaze on Shropshire border

Three caravans and a 4x4 have been destroyed in a blaze on the Shropshire border.

Caravan damaged in early morning blaze

Firefighters were called to the blaze, in Knighton near Newport, at 2.39am this morning.

A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We attended a fire in Knighton.

"A fire involving three caravans and a 4X4 has left several of the vehicles destroyed after a paraffin camping lamp was knocked over

"Firefighters used breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.

"The fire was extinguished at 3.51am and all appliances left the scene at 5.37am.

"One caravan was completely destroyed."
