Arson probe after derelict building fire in Madeley

By Matthew Growcott | Madeley | News | Published:

A derelict building in Telford is believed to have been purposefully set on fire.

Two fire crews from Tweedale were sent to the agricultural building in Coalport Road, Madeley at about 10.30pm last night.

They used one main jet to put out the fire in the building, which measured about 5x5 metres. The flames were out by 11.10pm.

Firefighters say they believe the blaze was of doubtful origin. Police have been informed.
