Crews tackle cupboard fire at RAF Cosford

Crews put out a cupboard fire at RAF Cosford in the early hours of the morning.

Engines based at Telford and Wellington stations went to the training base to douse the flames and smoke after reports of a property fire at 12.55am on Tuesday.

An operations officer also attended the incident.

Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Reports of smoke and fire which proved to be fire in store cupboard. Fire crews used two breathing apparatus, thermal imaging and ventilated the property."

The crews left the area at about 1.40am.
